The Confious prototype has been initially supported by the European Union Program Crinno, subprogram Unistep. The objective of the program was to act as incubator of ideas of University students and young researchers in all disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, etc.) and to provide funding for the development of a prototype, as a first step towards the creation of new enterprises. Confious has been selected in 2004-2005 as one of the 20 ideas that worth funding among a number of proposals submitted by students of the University of Crete, students of the Technical University of Crete, and young researchers of the Foundation for Research and Technology, Hellas (FORTH).
